TREE-MENDOUS MARYLAND, a program of the Maryland Forest Service, remains one of our most popular programs aimed at helping citizens restore tree cover on public land and community open space in Maryland.

The M-NCPPC has been nationally recognized for its high quality parks and recreation services and is regarded as a national model by other parks systems.

To date, we hav e assisted more than 3, towns and communities, parks, and schools planting trees and shrubs to help clean the water, clean theair, and keep our towns and cities inviting.

In Maryland, anyone being paid to work on trees is required by law to be Licensed Tree Expert. To verify a license, call the Maryland Forest Service or call A licensed tree expert is required to be well-trained and experienced in how to care for trees, how to trim or remove trees, how to recognize hazardous trees, how to plant trees all in such a way as to be safe and follow laws.

Street trees are planted in accordance with regulations set by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Healthy street trees cannot be removed without their permission.
